Celebrating New Things

May 28, 2026

If you were at our service a couple of weeks ago, you will remember how we celebrated our longest serving staff member, Jacki Reed.  Just as we celebrated Jacki’s 30-year anniversary, we are excited to announce some other significant changes that we will celebrate this summer!

First of all, let us address Gibson. He grew up being formed as a part of the Corinth Community and has been serving as our director of Family Ministry.  Gibson recently fulfilled all the steps required to become ordained in our denomination!  We will be ordaining him on June 7th as a part of the Worship Service.  We hope you will come and celebrate with him.

In light of this transition for Gibson, we have contracted with him for a one-year renewable contract to serve as our Connections Pastor.  With this opportunity, we hope to offer him valuable pastoral experience leading a variety of ministries and new initiatives, which we hope to launch in the upcoming year.

Don’t worry!  Bri Pastrick is going to be stepping into the role of director of Children’s Ministry!  Bri has been an absolutely invaluable asset to our team, helping provide support to the Children’s Ministry for years, as well as helping us to communicate with the church and the community.  She will continue to serve as our director of communications while continuing to support and develop our children’s ministry.

There is one more that we need to mention, even though it is a little bit further into the future.  Chris Burgess, who is our staff videographer, is about to celebrate 25 years on staff. As a part of her celebration, she wants to spend more time traveling! So with that in mind, she has asked to retire from her regular position. While we may change the format of some of our weekly announcements, Chris promises to continue to help out from time to time with special videos.

One thing we have learned in years of ministry is that while nothing ever stays the same, God continues to push his mission forward.  Please pray for Gibson, Bri, and Chris as God continues to lead them and His church to fulfill the mission He has for us all.
