Called to Be a Blessing to Our Neighbors

Dear Corinth Family,

We wanted to share an update on the journey we are taking together toward our five-year vision. Recently, we shared that we are focusing our heart and energy on three key areas to work toward human flourishing in our community. These aren’t just “church programs.” These are the ways we believe God is calling us to be a blessing to our neighbors.

First, we want to transform the building and lands God has given us from a “fortress” into a “front porch.” We call this Campus Activation. Whether it’s through recreation, community seminars, or simply a place for neighbors to gather, we want our 18 acres to be a transformational center for local health and joy.

Second, we are looking outward. We want to move beyond our walls with a presence that brings hope, grace, and authentic relationships to the places we already live, work, and play. This is our Decentralized Mission. It’s about being the church in our neighborhoods, not just inside a sanctuary.

Finally, none of this happens without you. We want to be a community that is constantly growing, learning, and preparing. Our Internal Equipping Pillar is our commitment to developing the leader within each of you, helping you find your unique mission field and the stories God is writing through your life.

These three pillars have been the heartbeat of our conversations over the last few months. To make sure this vision is truly ours, we held three congregational meetings to ask a simple but profound question: “What should we do?”

Your response was overwhelming. You brought your passions, your dreams, and your willingness to serve. Since then, our staff, elders, and deacons have been prayerfully putting those ideas into a roadmap for the next couple of years.

Now, we are excited to announce that the “plan” has become a shared dream, and we are ready to move forward together.

As we get ready to step into “Year One” of this process, here are a few exciting milestones we are hoping to develop with your help right away. Below you will see one thing from each pillar we would like to see happen within the next year. Of course, there are more possibilities with your help: 

• Campus Activation: Would you like to be on a team that helps us bring Pickleball Courts and a Playground to our property? Do you want to help us create a space where our neighbors can find health, community, and connection right here on our campus?
  
• Internal Equipping: We would love to launch a Corinth Podcast where you can share stories of what God is doing in your life. These stories will encourage all of us to continue growing. You don’t have to be the “star” of the show, but if you want to help us tell the stories of God’s work in our congregation, get involved with Internal Equipping!
  
• Decentralized Mission: Each of us has a calling beyond our church walls. Your passions, gifts, and geography all point toward where God is inviting you to serve. Would you like to help others at Corinth discover their calling? Do you want to come alongside them to support the mission God has placed on their hearts? This might even look like hosting block parties in your own neighborhood.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about specific teams and roles where you can help lead this charge. Let us be clear: we’re not looking for “volunteers,” but for three teams of partners eager to build human flourishing together. We believe God is calling Corinth in this direction, and if you share that belief, He is likely calling you to partner with us. These teams will receive our full resources and time as we work toward the shared goal of making these dreams a reality.
